By a vote of all MSHSAA schools, the rule on physicals has now changed, effective immediately! Please read the following details carefully.
All physicals are now good for 730 days (two years) from the date of issue.
Any student who has a physical on file at their current middle school or high school dated June 1, 2018, or later will not need another physical for the entire 2019-20 school year.
Physicals on file dated before June 1, 2018, are good for 730 days from the date and may expire before the end of the 2019-20 school year. A student will not be eligible to participate immediately on the day after its expiration (730 total days).
If your student’s current physical is dated before June 1, 2018, to avoid becoming ineligible in the middle of a sports season or having to get a new physical in the middle of a season, we recommend your student get a new physical that will be good for two full years.
